Today is Election Day. Let’s finish this strong.
Good morning, North Carolina! Today is Election Day and in about 12 hours, the polls will close across the state. This is our chance to make a course correction for our great country. And this morning, I am in awe thinking about how so many of you stepped up to get us here.
Too often, North Carolinians have been left to bear the brunt of decisions made in Washington that hurt their families: reckless wars abroad, health care that costs too much and prices at the grocery store and gas pump that keep climbing. And still, North Carolinians don’t give up. From the mountains to the coast, we find a way forward together.
I’ve seen so many North Carolinians work hard, look out for their neighbors and keep going when it’s so easy to do otherwise. That’s what stepping up looks like.
Some of you have been with me since my days as Governor, and some of you joined this fight a few months ago. Whenever you came aboard, I am grateful for and encouraged by every one of you. You have helped build something amazing.
Take a moment to look back on the last 15 months. Think about all of the phone calls, doors knocked on and donations that came from people who didn’t have much extra to give. Every one of you made this possible.
When we started this campaign, I knew it would be the toughest race of my life. Political analysts had this race rated as either Lean Republican or Toss Up. But I believe I needed to run because it was time North Carolina had a Senator who pays attention to working families and who puts the focus on people who’ve started to believe the American dream is out of reach.
I don’t believe it is. Because I know what we can do when we rise up and fight for change.
I’ve said many times that I’m a prisoner of hope. I truly believe our best days are ahead of us, if we work toward it. It’s why I’ve spent the last 15 months on the campaign trail. Every canvass launch, front porch conversation and community event has reminded me what this work is about, and your support has made me more hopeful with every mile.
Everything we’ve worked for has led to this final movement.
If you haven’t voted yet, and you’re already registered to vote, you can find your Election Day polling place here. Please make a plan to vote, and bring a friend with you.
Then reach out to the people in your life. Text your family, check in on your neighbors and remind your community that their vote matters and that time is running out.
You’ve helped build something amazing, and together, we’re going to flip North Carolina blue and bring this U.S. Senate seat back to the people.
Let’s finish this strong.

P.S. Anyone in line to vote at 7:30 PM will be able to vote. If you are in line when polls close at 7:30 PM, stay in line!
